Our new prices for Class 5 and Class 7 lessons, effective 1 June 2025, will be as follows:
- One (1) 90 minute lesson – $160.00 + GST (currently $168.00)
- Two (2) 90 minute lessons – $310.00 + GST (currently $325.50)
- Three (3) 90 minute lessons – $460.00 + GST (currently $483.00)
- Four (4) 90 minute lessons – $610.00 + GST (currently $640.50)
- Five (5) 90 minute lessons – $760.00 + GST (currently $798.00)
- Six (6) 90 minute lessons – $900.00 + GST (currently $945.00)
- Seven (7) 90 minute lessons – $1050.00 + GST (currently $1102.50)
- Eight (8) 90 minute lessons – $1200.00 + GST (currently $1260.00)
- Nine (9) 90 minute lessons – $1350.00 + GST (currently $1417.50)
- Ten (10) 90 minutes lessons – $1500.00 + GST (currently $1575.00)
Many clients want to use our car for their Road Test. We charge $200.00 + GST (currently $210.00) for the use of our car for Road Tests. That includes a one hour (60 minute) refresher lesson immediately prior to the Road Test. Please note that this does not include the cost of the Road Test.
Please note that we do not rent our cars out for Road Tests to anyone who has not taken lessons with us and whose driving abilities we have not had an opportunity to evaluate beforehand.

We offer 150 minute (2.5 hours) lessons at $266.67 plus GST (currently $280.00) for Salt Spring Island clients. We also offer 150 minute (2.5 hours) lessons at $266.67 plus GST (currently $280.00) for Cowichan Valley clients in more distant locations, like Chemainus or Cobble Hill, to allow for travel time to and from Duncan.
We ask that payments for lessons be made in advance by eTransfer, credit card, cash or cheque. This practice is followed by other Driving Schools and it helps us keep our costs and our lesson prices at reasonable levels. In the past we have, unfortunately, had to spend time following up on late payments. This increases our costs which we, in turn, have to pass along to our clients.
We are currently developing a Graduated Licensing Program (GLP) course. We will post our Graduated Licensing Program (GLP) course fees when ICBC approves our new GLP course.
For lessons or Road Tests in Class 4 Restricted, Class 5 and Class 7 we use a 2018 Toyota Corolla, a 2020 Toyota Prius Prime and 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid.
