Air Brakes Courses

West Coast Driver Training is authorized by ICBC to teach Air Brake Courses. We are also an ICBC authorized Air Brake Certification facility, meaning we can certify clients on the Air Brake Pre Trip section of the Air Brake Endorsement. Clients will still have to go to ICBC or ServiceBC to write the Air Brake Knowledge Test after completing any Air Brake Course.

We currently charge $225.00 plus GST (currently $236.25) per person for Air Brake Courses.

We have heard that Air Brakes Courses in Victoria and Nanaimo are fully booked until the end of April 2024 so West Coast Driver Training will be offering an Air Brakes Course in Nanaimo on 6-7 April 2024. Our next Air Brakes Course will be in Nanaimo on 4-5 May 2024.

On the second day of the course we typically finish by 1 p.m.
Come to the side door of the building. Bring a pen to take notes. A Course Manual will be provided. Bring a lunch if you wish. There will be a one hour lunch break in case you need to drive somewhere to get lunch.

West Coast Driver Training recently ran Air Brakes Courses in Ladysmith on 2-3 December 2023, 6-7 January 2024, 10-11 February 2024. and 16-17 March 2024.

West Coast Driver Training, in cooperation with the Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department, ran an Air Brakes Course on Gabriola Island on 4-5 November 2023.

4-5 November 2023, 9 am to 5 pm, at the Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department, 730 Church Street, Gabriola Island, B.C.
This Air Brakes Course is for firefighters at the Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department but the Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department has kindly opened up this Air Brakes Course for members of the public as well.
