This video from TransBC (the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation) shows tire chains with cam adjusters being put on a SUV. We definitely recommend chains with cam adjusters if you have a choice in purchasing tire chains. Chains with cam adjusters will be more expensive than those without but, if you are in an area where snow is a regular winter feature, we consider cam adjusters worth the extra money.
